Sony CyberShot H5 and H2 Digital Cameras

Yummy. That's what Sony's new offerings, the CyberShot H5 and the CyberShot H2 are. Equipped with a Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar 12x optical zoom lens and Sony's Double Anti-Blur technology, the new H-series digital still cameras guarantee razor-sharp pictures.

The Sony CyberShot H5 is a 7.2 megapixel camera. The Carl-Zeiss lens offers a focal length of 36-432mm (35mm conversion) at F2.8-3.7. Apart from the 12x optical zoom, you also get a 24x Precision Digital Zoom and a 57x VGA Smart Zoom. This high zoom range is available even while shooting movies. For greater rigidity the camera features an aluminium lens ring. The LCD is a 3-inch one and incorporates an anti-reflection layer for better viewing in all conditions. Set the camera to the 16:9 shooting mode and you can shoot wide-screen images for playback on a wide-screen TV.

The Sony CyberShot H2, on the other hand, is a 6.0 megapixel camera. The only other differences are that the H2 offers 52x VGA Smart Zoom and a 2-inch LCD screen.
